Bursary Programme
The Immerse Education Bursary Programme is open to students from all school types, worldwide. Awards are granted based on household income and academic potential, ensuring that every motivated student has the opportunity to join our programmes, regardless of financial background.
Bursaries are awarded through a single annual review process, providing clarity and fairness for all applicants.
Eligibility Requirements
Bursary applicants must be:
- Aged between 13-18 at the commencement of the selected programme session.
- Available to attend the academic sessions Online, in Cambridge, Oxford, London, Toronto, New York, San Francisco, Sydney, Singapore or Tokyo in 2026.
- Eligible to live and study in the UK for the duration of the programme.
- Able to provide documentation to support your application, demonstrating both household income and academic potential.
Applications are welcomed from students of all nationalities.
Key Dates
- Application deadline: 31 March
- Decisions released: 30 April
- Redemption deadline: 31 May
Awards granted in April 2026 may be used towards any 2026 programme.
Applications submitted after 31 March will still be considered in the next annual review cycle, with results shared in April of the following year.
Please note that as places on programmes are limited, availability for certain subjects or locations may be reduced closer to the redemption deadline.
How To Apply
The application process consists of an application form, which should be submitted using the form below.
Key information to note:
- Applications are reviewed once per year by the Bursary Selection Committee.
- Applicants must submit their written essay response, video, and financial verification documents in a single form submission.
- It is recommended that you draft your responses, particularly to the essay question, in advance of submitting your form, as you will be unable to save your form before submitting it.
- Successful applicants may be awarded partial or full bursaries, covering up to 100% of programme tuition for online or residential summer programmes.
- Bursaries apply to Immerse summer programmes only and cannot be exchanged for a cash equivalent.
- Successful applicants will have a clear deadline of May 31, by which they have to confirm their place and redeem their award.
Written Response:
- Your essay should outline why you would like to study with Immerse.
- This should be a maximum of 500 words in length, there is no minimum requirement.
- You are advised to research the available programmes in advance.
- Ensure you proofread your work prior to submission.
- This should be written in a separate document and copied and pasted into the entry form.
Video:
- Please outline what personal qualities you would bring to the summer programmes as an Immerse scholar.
- This should be a maximum of 3 minutes in length, there is no minimum requirement.
- You should ensure that your video is of reasonable audio and visual quality.
- You will be assessed on the content of your response, not on the production value of your video.
- This should be submitted as a .mp4 or .mov file only.
Financial Verification:
- This will be assessed on a case by case basis.
- Applicants are required to submit evidence of household income.
- This should be submitted as a .docx, .pdf, or .jpg file only.
- This document must be written in English.
Apply for financial assistance
Students who would not otherwise be able to attend due to financial circumstances are warmly encouraged to apply for a bursary. These awards can cover up to 100% of programme fees, depending on need and academic potential.
